Cross stitch could almost have been invented for baby items!  With a wealth of patterns around of cute motifs it shouldn't be difficult to find something worth stitching for a baby or young child other than, of course, a traditional birth sampler.

Here are just a few project ideas for stitching for the nursery.  These ideas can be adapted to create a theme for a young child's room too using a design of their favourite story or TV character.
