Lampshades

This lampshade cover is to fit an 18cm high coolie lampshade. It can be adjusted for your needs

NEED:

Fabric 115cm wide x 32 cm deep

18cm high coolie lampshade

stitched aida band - length 115cm

Stitch a double 1cm hem around one long edge of fabric. This will be the bottom edge of the lampshade.

Lay stitched aida band onto right side of fabric matching lower edges. Stitch in place.

With right sides together, stitch short side edges together to form a ring

Press a 5cm hem on top edge of fabric.

Work two rows of gathering stitches around top hem spaced 4cm and 4.5cm down from top pressed edge.

Pull up gathers to fit top of coolie shade and secure with a couple of stitches.

Now, simply place gathered cover over the coolie lampshade!
