Need:
- sharp craft knife
- metal ruler
- coloured card
TIP:
Practice on old card and plain fabric scraps if you have not done this before.
Cut a piece of card to measure
the height and 3 times the width of the finished card
size you need.
Using the metal ruler to get two
neat parallel folds, score and fold the card into 3 sections width ways.
Measure the height and width of
your design, adding ½cm all the way round to give the size of the aperture.
Lay your card face down on a
craft cutting mat and mark teh center point in the middle
section of the card.
SQUARE APERTURE: - measure the
width and height you need, using the center mark as the middle of your square.
CIRCULAR: - use a compass
around the center mark
Holding the card firmly in
place, cut out the aperture using a sharp craft knife.
Now you can mount your
stitching.
