Print off and use this guide as a reference for calculating the size of your finished project based on the size of fabric used and the stitch count of the design
(this complete page actually prints off on 2xA4 sheets of paper - refer back to  my printing instructions on how to print off the guide only)

Do remember that this guide does not give you the measurements for CUTTING out your fabric.  You will need to add a generous amount to the measurements to allow for mounting.

9 22.9 99 126 144 161
24.1 104 133 152 171
10 25.4 110 140 160 180

For example:
a cross stitch project with a stitch count of
36 high x 16 wide worked on 14 hpi count fabric the finished stitching size will be: inch by inch approx (7 cm x 3.2 cm) worked on 18 hpi count fabric the finished stitching size will be: 2 inches by 1 inch approx. (5.1 cm x 2.5 cm)

The formula to work out how big the design will be is to simply divide the height and width on the chart by the number of holes per inch (hpi).

N.B. If stitching over two threads of evenweave fabric remember to divide the hpi by two, to give the number of holes per inch before calculating the design area.
